Master French with DELF and DALF Certifications
Looking to certify your French language proficiency? The DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française) and DALF(Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are internationally recognized French language diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced learner, these certifications can help you showcase your French skills for academic, professional, or personal purposes.
What Are DELF and DALF?
- DELF: Designed for beginner to intermediate learners, the DELF exam is available at four levels (A1, A2, B1, B2), following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It tests your abilities in listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
- DALF: For advanced learners, the DALF exam covers C1 and C2 levels, evaluating your high-level language skills, including complex discussions, debates, and academic writing in French.
Why Choose DELF/DALF Certification?
- International Recognition: DELF and DALF are accepted globally by academic institutions, employers, and government bodies as proof of French proficiency.
- Flexible for All Levels: Whether you’re just starting with French or looking to prove advanced skills, there’s a DELF/DALF level suited to your abilities.
- Academic and Professional Opportunities: These certifications open doors to studying in French-speaking universities, advancing your career, or enhancing your resume.

For adults: DELF / DALF
DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française/Diploma in French language) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française/ Advanced Diploma in French language) are official French language proficiency qualifications, administered and awarded by the French Ministry of Education.
They are designed to assess the communicative skills of a candidate in a real situation, using authentic documents, and to evaluate know-how (writing a letter, asking for information, exchanging opinions) rather than the linguistic and formal grammatical knowledge.
There are six diplomas corresponding to the six levels scale of the Common European Reference Framework for Languages. The six diplomas (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2) that make up DELF and DALF are completely independent.
This means that candidates can register for the examination of their choice, according to their level. At each level, 4 skills are evaluated: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Each diploma is internationally recognized and valid for life.
For Children – DELF Prim
Specially drafted for children between 8 to 12 years old, DELF Prim is composed of individual certificates and is divided into three levels: DELF Prim A1.1, DELF Prim A1 and DELF Prim A2, corresponding to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
It is an opportunity for your child to demonstrate their French language skills, to be rewarded for their work at school and to get used to sitting exams for certificates from the beginning of their French studies.
