The French O-Level exam
At the secondary school level, students learning French as a second or third language must take an annual French exam, leading up to the O-Level French exam in Secondary 4.
Students will sit for their French O-Level exams after completing Secondary 4, following a structured evaluation process at the Ministry of Education Learning Centre (MOELC) every September from Secondary 1 to 4. The exam consists of four papers:
- Paper 1: Writing
- Paper 2: Reading
- Paper 3: Listening
- Paper 4: Oral

We offer a combination of group classes, revision workshops, and personalized study plans to ensure students are fully prepared. How can French Studio help you?
At French Studio we offer courses from Secondary 1 through to Secondary 4, which prepare students for their French O-Level exams. Your child can choose to attend classes in addition to the ones they take at the Ministry of Education Learning Centre, or if necessary in lieu of. We follow the same syllabus as the MOELC.

- Offer flexibility – Students who are learning French as a second language can choose to join one of our group classes or register for one-to-one private tuition (our private tuition are also available for students who are learning French as a third language). You can also decide to attend a combination of the both

- Organise revision workshop though the year for Secondary students. A good way to revise and practice to prepare their exam.
- Hold mock tests throughout the year, using past exam papers – We have found this is one of the best ways for students to prepare for their O-Level exams. It is also a good way for parents to see the progress their child is making!

January is the best time to start classes with us, as your child will be able to follow the program from the very beginning and be fully prepared for their exam in September!
